Greetings, my dear beloved children!
Well, as a follow-up to my previous message let us talk about the things you can cite against the electronic “invasion” in respect of your children.
The greatest problem is that children are very susceptible to the influence of their peers and always try to catch up with others.
Therefore, even if they do not like something, they will do it just to be able to keep a conversation going and not to turn out “a white crow” in their friends’ company.
That is why, first of all, it is necessary to explain to a child what herd instinct is and what blind imitation of others can result in.
Find the most vivid examples in the world history or your own life that clearly show the perniciousness of following others blindly not taking into consideration one’s own tastes, interests, needs and views on life.
The knowledge about one’s individuality being the most valuable that one has must be communicated to a child as well as the fact that it is only their individuality that can help them find their true mission, exciting job and their better half.
As for following others’ interests, views and beliefs, they can just lead them to a dead end and, moreover, they can live somebody else’s life – not the one that they were born for and their Soul strives for.
No doubt, you should talk about such serious things taking a child’s age into consideration and by no means in a moralizing manner but in a friendly one – as an equal.
It is only talks like these that get deep into a child’s heart and are not rejected by them.
And, of course, the main thing is to become an example for your children bringing electronic gadgets usage to the minimum yourselves and offering live communication as an alternative.
Spend as much time as possible not only with your children but their friends, too thereby enlarging the “sphere of influence” of yours and assisting them in overcoming the barrier of misunderstanding for side of their peers.
The greatest means to achieve this goal are going for a walk, hike or trip together, going to the cinema or theatre.
Try not to let your children’s free time follow its own course.
Bring them to adult companies if people, of course, are worth imitating there.
Children highly appreciate equality of rights and get offended when they are treated as little ones and deprived of communication with your friends.
And do not forget that children are very observant: they always see and hear everything – not a single detail escapes their attention.
So, always be cautious as far as your words are concerned and try to talk more on spiritual issues when they are around.
Even if they do not show interest in them all at once, it will passively get down into their conscience and will pass into an active phase at the right moment.
Remember how often a phrase someone let fall and you heard by accident suddenly comes up just the moment you really need it.
But the main thing is, of course, that a child feels they are loved so much.
And it should be expressed not only by words but your touch, gently look and a smile, too.
Tactility, an opportunity to touch each other, plays an enormous part in human communication, especially among close people.
Sometimes it is enough to give someone a gentle hug to stem the offense or annoyance that arose in them.
Nothing on Earth can substitute human affection that is manifested in direct immediate contact, well, this is the thing that is becoming in by far the shortest supply on your planet.
More and more people are plunging into the virtual world depriving themselves of the happiness of live communication.
That is why do not deprive your child of the happiness and protect them from the all-devouring “monster” the internet by name.
